Comprehensive safety and security guidelines have been issued to students and staff at Bahrain University as on-campus education resumes today.
The instructions, circulated across campuses, set out clear steps to follow during emergency and exceptional circumstances, particularly when warning sirens are heard.
The university urged everyone to immediately stop all activities – including lectures, labs and student events – and remain calm inside buildings until official instructions are given.
Those outdoors at the time of a siren are advised to head immediately to the nearest building, use stairs instead of elevators, and move to inner areas or lower floors while staying at least three metres away from windows and glass. Students and staff are told to rely only on official information and avoid sharing unverified news.
Officials say the move aims to provide reassurance and clear guidance as thousands of students return to classrooms in the wake of recent Iranian aggression, ensuring that everyone on campus knows exactly how to respond should an emergency alert be issued.
