Under the patronage of its honorary president Shaikha Lulua bint Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Al Noor Charity Welfare has organised the concluding ceremony of the sixth edition of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award.
More than 1,200 contestants took part in the competition, which reflects a growing passion for memorising the Holy Quran and reciting it, Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said.
Winners and members of the jury were honoured during the ceremony.
