A suspect has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a currency exchange bureau after threatening employees with a knife, the Public Prosecution said yesterday.
Two employees reported that the accused entered their workplace, threatened them with a knife and demanded money. They activated the alarm, prompting the suspect to flee without obtaining any cash.
The incident was immediately reported to the Naim Police Station, which launched an investigation leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The knife allegedly used in the incident and the clothes he was wearing at the time were seized.
The Public Prosecution questioned the accused and confronted him with evidence, including surveillance footage and other supporting material. The Public Prosecution has ordered that he be remanded in custody pending investigation.
