His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, yesterday met Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the UK’s Defence Senior Adviser to the Middle East and North Africa, and an accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the UK which is underpinned by strategic co-operation and collaboration across sectors.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised both nations’ commitment to strengthening cooperation in line with existing partnerships and agreements, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA), to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the critical role of the UK and its allies in safeguarding regional and international security, stability, and development.

HRH Prince Salman noted the depth of the Bahrain-UK relationship, highlighting its role in supporting the kingdom’s efforts to combat hostile Iranian aggression.
During the meeting, avenues to enhance co-operation, particularly in the military and defence sectors, as well as the latest regional developments, their repercussions on regional and international security and stability, and issues of common interest were reviewed.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were in attendance.
