Bahrain's paddlers in table tennis and cueists in snooker secured berths in the quarter-finals of their respective competitions yesterday at the fourth GCC Games in Doha, Qatar.
According to the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Bahrainis Rashed Sanad and Mohammed Abbas Abdulwahab both qualified for the round of eight in the men’s singles table tennis tournament.
Also last night, the kingdom’s snooker stars Habib Sabah and Hesham Alsaqer both made it through to the men’s six-red quarters.
Action in both sports continues today at the Qatari capital, with the Bahrainis aiming to continue the national delegation’s impressive medal haul in the multi-sport event.
