Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed met members of the medical committee of Bahrain’s Haj Mission to review the committee’s readiness and preparations for this year’s Haj season.
She emphasised the importance of providing integrated healthcare services for Bahrain’s pilgrims during the Haj season to support their safety and enable them to perform rituals with ease and reassurance.
The minister highlighted the continued support provided under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure comprehensive care and support for Bahraini pilgrims.
The minister commended the committee members’ professional competence and national expertise, noting the Health Ministry’s commitment to providing all resources necessary to support the committee’s work.
She also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance electronic healthcare services for Bahraini pilgrims, including the electronic issuance of the ‘Pilgrim Health Certificate’, which enables pilgrims to review their health information and verify required vaccinations and health requirements.
The minister expressed appreciation for the co-operation and facilities provided by Saudi Arabia in support of medical missions and services for pilgrims.
Bahrain Haj Mission’s head of the medical committee Dr Ibrahim Farouk Obaid reviewed the committee’s operational plan and the preventive, medical, and treatment services provided to Bahraini pilgrims throughout the Haj season.
