His Majesty King Hamad received a written message from Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al Ghazouani concerning close bilateral relations between the two countries, means to further develop and strengthen co-operation, and issues of mutual interest.
The message was delivered to His Majesty by Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Co-operation and Mauritanians Abroad, during a meeting with His Majesty.
Minister Merzoug conveyed the greetings of the Mauritanian President, and wished for further progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
His Majesty extended his greetings and best wishes to President Al Ghazouani, wishing further development and prosperity for Mauritania and its people.
His Majesty expressed appreciation for Mauritania’s positions under the leadership of the President, and for the sincere expressions of solidarity he conveyed towards the kingdom regarding the recent Iranian attacks.
His Majesty commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Mauritania and their development across various areas of co-operation, amid both countries’ commitment to strengthening ties for the benefit of their peoples.
For his part, the Mauritanian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to His Majesty for the warm reception and hospitality, and for His Majesty’s commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries.
He reiterated Mauritania’s full solidarity with Bahrain and its strong condemnation of the Iranian attack on the kingdom, as well as its support for Bahrain in all measures undertaken to protect its security, stability and sovereignty.
