A roundtable discussion aimed at enhancing co-operation with the US Embassy was recently held at the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) in Awali.
It was attended by Derasat chief executive officer Abdulla Alahmed, US Ambassador Stephanie Hallett and several researchers and embassy members.
Participants discussed prospects for co-operation with US think tanks and research institutions.
Ms Hallett highlighted the importance of think tanks in fostering constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange and praised Derasat’s intellectual contributions to strategic and development issues.
She expressed her aspiration to further strengthen co-operation in the coming period and linking researchers and think tanks in both countries.
Mr Alahmed reaffirmed Derasat’s commitment to advancing its research partnerships with leading US think tanks, promoting the exchange of expertise, and developing analytical perspectives to deepen mutual understanding of geopolitical, economic and technological transformations.
He noted that the meeting reflects the importance of knowledge-based partnerships and marks a step towards strengthening research co-operation and intellectual dialogue between the two countries.
