At a time of regional uncertainty and challenge, This Is Bahrain has announced the official launch of BAHRAIN IS UNITED (BIU) – a national initiative created to strengthen social cohesion, deepen the sense of belonging and bring together Bahrainis and expatriates alike in loyal support of Bahrain, its leadership and its cherished way of life.
The official launch event will take place today at 10am at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Manama, bringing together members of Bahrain’s diverse communities in a visible demonstration of unity, solidarity, patriotism and national resilience.
Founded on the enduring Bahraini values of mutual respect, compassion, peaceful coexistence and loyalty to King and Country, BAHRAIN IS UNITED seeks to reinforce the spirit that has always defined Bahrain – one nation, one family, standing together in times of challenge and in times of peace.
Speaking ahead of the launch, This Is Bahrain chairperson Betsy Mathieson said: “Today, more than ever, Bahrain stands united. In the face of uncertainty, our people have responded not with fear, but with faith, love, loyalty and unity. Bahrain is more than a country – Bahrain is a family.
“Through BAHRAIN IS UNITED, we aim to strengthen that sense of togetherness and belonging that makes our kingdom so unique and so precious to all who call it home.”
As part of the initiative, This Is Bahrain has also produced a special patriotic song in collaboration with Ahmed AlJumairy and Abdulaziz Al Yahya celebrating the unity of the Bahraini people and paying tribute to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, whose vision, compassion and steadfast leadership continue to guide and strengthen the nation during this important period.
This Is Bahrain expressed its deep appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, his government and authorities of the kingdom for their continued efforts to safeguard the nation, protect its people and preserve Bahrain’s longstanding model of peaceful coexistence, religious freedom and national unity.
The launch of BAHRAIN IS UNITED comes as communities across the kingdom increasingly come together in a shared expression of loyalty, gratitude and confidence in Bahrain’s future.
“Nothing can divide us, nothing can defeat us. Hamad is our King and Bahrain is United,” the organisers added.
