According to the latest statistics published by the Bahrain Open Data Portal, the overall marriage rate increased by 0.4 per cent in 2025 compared with 2024.
The marriage rate reached 4.3pc in 2025, up from 3.9pc in 2024.
The overall divorce rate declined to 1.5pc in 2025, representing a decrease of 0.2pc compared to 2024 when the divorce rate stood at 1.7pc.
Regarding marriages by the age group of wives in 2025, the highest number stood at 3,214 marriages for women aged 18 to 25.
This was followed by 1,933 marriages for women aged 26 to 35, 398 marriages for the 36–45 age group, and 145 marriages for women aged over 45.
There were 1,727 marriages for men aged 18 to 25, 3,073 for 26-35 age group, and 596 for men aged between 36 and 45.
