The parliamentary financial and economic affairs committee has endorsed a proposed law submitted by the Parliament to waive all outstanding financial dues owed to government entities by deceased citizens.
The proposal aims to address a sensitive legal and social issue concerning financial liabilities that remain in a citizen’s name after death and are payable to government bodies as, in many cases, such obligations place an additional burden on heirs.
