Families and children gathered at the Chery Bahrain showroom, operating under The Bahraini Asian Motors by Motorcity, for a special Eid activation centred around the cherished annual ancient tradition of Hiya Biya.
The initiative reflected the marque’s commitment to celebrating local traditions while creating meaningful, family-oriented experiences that bring the community together.
As part of the festivities, children enjoyed painting and planting their own Hiya Biya, creating an interactive experience filled with creativity and celebration. The event provided families with a memorable opportunity to celebrate together, reinforcing Chery Bahrain’s strong connection with its customers and the wider community.
“We were delighted to welcome families and children to our showroom for this special Eid activation,” said Chery Bahrain dealer principal Abdulelah Burashed.
“Our aim is to create enjoyable and meaningful experiences that celebrate Bahraini traditions while bringing people together. These moments reflect the importance we place on culture, connection, and building lasting relationships with our customers and the community.”
Marking the end of the pilgrimage in Mecca and the Eid Al Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice), children sing a song before throwing a small plant into the sea, waving it goodbye and at the same time wishing to go to Haj one day. The seedling is placed in a woven basket made from palm tree leaves, usually the seeds of fast-growing plants, like radishes and beans, which fish feed on once thrown into the sea.
