HANDBALL – Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Bahrain Handball Federation president Ali Issa Eshaqi extended his sincere congratulations yesterday to His Majesty King Hamad and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of Bahrain’s junior men’s handball national team qualifying for the 26th IHF Men’s U21 Handball World Championship.
Eshaqi emphasised that this achievement is the fruit of the generous support and patronage that the sports sector receives from His Majesty, and thanks to the efforts exerted by the esteemed government, headed by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This support and attention has had a clear impact on the kingdom’s distinguished position in international sport, enabling it to successfully affirm its excellence in various arenas and at all levels.
Eshaqi also congratulated His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the national team’s qualification for the under-21 worlds, where Bahrain will be playing for the sixth time.
Eshaqi further praised the efforts of the national team’s technical and administrative staff and the levels presented by the players throughout the ongoing 19th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship in Chuzhou, China, which is the continental qualifier for the world championship.
