Bapco Energies has launched the NextGen Power Camp, bringing together 100 of Bahrain’s top high school students for an immersive development experience aimed at inspiring and preparing the kingdom’s next generation of energy leaders.
The students were selected to participate in the camp as part of the assessment process for the undergraduate track of the NBH Future Energy Leaders – Scholarship and Career Development Programme.
The camp – being held at INJAZ Bahrain – brings together academic readiness activities, leadership development sessions, interactive workshops, and hands-on learning experiences designed to strengthen participants’ personal, professional, and academic capabilities.
Participants will engage with Bapco Energies professionals and gain insights into innovation, sustainability, emerging energy trends, and career pathways across the sector.
“Future-proofing our talent pipeline starts with investing in young Bahrainis today,” said Bapco Energies group chief executive officer Mark Thomas.
“Through the NextGen Power Camp, we are helping develop the next generation of leaders who will support the kingdom’s long-term energy ambitions.”
The NBH Future Energy Leaders – Scholarship and Career Development Programme is a flagship Bapco Energies initiative that supports high-achieving Bahrainis pursuing higher education at leading international universities.
In addition to academic sponsorship, the programme provides mentorship, professional development opportunities, and industry exposure to help prepare participants for future careers.
