BEACH SOCCER – Bahrain's senior men’s beach soccer national team edged past their counterparts from Saudi Arabia 4-3 in their second international friendly game played during their overseas training camp in Saudi.
Mehran Mohammed was on target twice for the Bahrainis in the contest, while Issa Al Dosari and Ali Hassanein contributed a goal apiece.
Their win followed a narrow 1-2 defeat to the host Saudis in both teams’ opening tune-up played the evening before.
The nationals conducted their camp as part of their preparations for their upcoming competitions, to be headlined by the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, which will take place in Thailand from November 18 to 28.
Bahrain had a 14-player squad in Saudi. Along with Mohammed, Issa Al Dosari, and Hassanein, the rest of the team featured Mohammed Jaafar, Ebrahim Almarzooqi, Hussain Al Dosari, Hesham Yousef, Akbar Saeed, Issa Ghaleb, Mohammed Darwish, Hussain Shaker, former senior men’s football national team star Sayed Mohammed Adnan, and goalkeepers Hussain Marhoon and Ahmed Abdulrasool
In this year’s AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, Bahrain are one or 13 nations taking part.
The others include defending champions Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and hosts Thailand.
