More than 1,000 expatriate workers received training and support around working in extreme conditions, as part of the Bahrain Malayalee Business Forum’s (BMBF) Help and Drink initiative. The 2026 edition of the campaign held its closing ceremony in the presence of Bahrain Chamber board member Bob Thaker recently.
The event was led by BMBF general secretary Basheer Ambalayi in Tubli.
As part of the programme, workers received drinking water, fruits, ice cream, energy drinks and various food items.
They also learned about the precautions and safety measures to be taken while working in extreme heat and cold conditions. For the past 12 years, BMBF has been conducting the Help and Drink initiative to provide relief to workers in Bahrain’s construction sector during the harsh summer months.
This year’s activities also included medical consultations as well as mental and emotional support to workers across different sectors.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to the Bahrain authorities and leadership for their continued support in enabling these initiatives to reach workers throughout the kingdom.
