Six separate drug busts have led to the arrest of 10 suspects, including a woman, with authorities seizing around 14kg of narcotics and psychotropic substances valued at approximately BD116,000.
The Anti-Narcotics Department at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said the suspects, of various nationalities, were arrested as part of ongoing efforts to protect society from the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking.
The department said that upon receiving information about the cases, investigations were launched, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects. The drugs found in their possession were seized.
Legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects will be referred to the Public Prosecution, the statement added.
The General Directorate underscored the importance of community partnership in combating drug-related crimes and urged members of the public to report any information through the hotline 996 or via email at 996@interior.gov.bh, assuring complete confidentiality for informants.
