The Cabinet outlined the significant achievements made in strengthening constitutional institutions and advancing their contributions to the kingdom’s comprehensive development process
The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa at Gudaibiya Palace, highlighted the importance of international democratic values, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
The Cabinet reviewed several memorandums submitted by ministerial committees and ministers, and approved the following:
1. A draft agreement between the Government of Bahrain and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation on hosting the International Tourism Investment Forum.
2. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Arabian Gulf University and the Institute of Public Administration.
3. Developments in telemedicine services at primary healthcare centres.
4. The government’s responses to a number of proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives.
The Cabinet also reviewed the following:
1. Outcomes of the implementation of the decision regulating the midday work ban during the summer of 2026, from June 15 to August 31. Inspections, totalling more than 30,000 visits, recorded a compliance rate of 99.98 per cent. The Cabinet commended the commitment demonstrated by companies in adhering to the regulation.
2. Developing healthcare services for government hospitals.
3. The latest developments in the activation of the functions and responsibilities of the Personal Data Protection Authority.
The Cabinet then took note of the following ministerial reports:
1. Outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the International Space Summit.
2. Outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the 18th BRICS Summit.
3. Outcomes of Bahrain hosting the 29th meeting of the GCC ministers responsible for municipal affairs.
4. Outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the award ceremony for the 2026 Unesco King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education.
