VOLLEYBALL – FILIPINO-American Association of Bahrain (Fil-Am Bahrain) clinched the women’s division title in the Beary’s Volleyball League, held at A’ali Club. Their victory continued their recent winning run, having recently been crowned champions of the one-night tournament of the Philippine Bahrain Volleyball League.
Fil-Am Bahrain secured their Beary’s crown after defeating Team Dilenatharu 2-0 (15-10, 15-7) in the final. Both sides had earlier set up their clash after winning their respective contests in the last four, which also featured Dig Chivas and KSB.
Fil-Am Bahrain players also took home individual honors, with AJ Verzosa receiving the Best Attacker accolade and team captain RB ‘Bryce’ Torres being named Best Setter. The team also welcomed newcomers Joy Dela La Pena, Gladys Zapanta, and Ivy Cuevas, adding fresh energy and depth, according to team manager Grace Estacio.
