India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold special Class 12 examinations for students in Bahrain, other GCC states and West Asia who missed their earlier board exams due to regional tensions.
The decision follows a ruling by the Supreme Court in response to a petition filed on behalf of affected students in the Gulf.
The special exams are open to both regular and private candidates who submitted exam forms for the 2026 main examinations and whose results were declared under the assessment scheme.
Students can select which subjects they wish to sit, and the scores achieved in these exams will be treated as final, replacing their previous assessment-based results.
Both regular and private candidates can submit their List of Candidates or exam forms from September 22 to 26. Forms must be submitted personally by students via a link on the official CBSE website.
The CBSE confirmed that there will be no extension to the submission window under any circumstances.
