Bahrain Chamber (BCCI) chairman Nabeel Kanoo received a delegation of European Union ambassadors residing in Kuwait and accredited to Bahrain to discuss boosting trade, investment, and economic ties.
The delegation included Croatian Ambassador Amir Muharemi, Belgian Ambassador Christian Dooms, Greek Ambassador Ioannis Plotas, Spanish Ambassador Manuel Gamayo, Dutch Ambassador Wierish Ramsoekh, and Polish Ambassador Michał Cholewa.
During the meeting, Mr Kanoo highlighted the strength of Bahraini-European relations and reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to connecting local business communities with European markets. He emphasised the private sector’s pivotal role in driving bilateral trade through delegation exchanges, joint economic events, and direct B2B engagements.
Underlining Bahrain’s competitive advantages, Mr Kanoo noted that the kingdom’s open business environment, strategic GCC gateway location, robust infrastructure, and supportive regulatory frameworks offer strong incentives for European investors.
He called for deeper co-operation in value-added sectors, reciprocal investments, and technology transfer to support sustainable economic growth.
The visiting European ambassadors commended Bahrain’s business climate and expressed their keenness to foster stronger commercial linkages, explore emerging opportunities, and turn shared interests into active business partnerships.
