The importance of the media’s role and its national responsibility in serving the kingdom, raising awareness, strengthening national unity and encouraging social cohesion was emphasised yesterday.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also noted that the media plays a pivotal role in providing accurate information and countering misinformation, especially during challenging times.
He commended the media’s readiness and professionalism in addressing various challenges during a visit to the Information Ministry and the National Communication Centre (NCC) yesterday.
The continued development of the kingdom’s media sector and ongoing efforts to enhance its efficiency, strengthening its readiness to keep pace with the rapidly evolving media landscape, in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad was highlighted.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the national workforce at the ministry and the NCC, as well as the local Press, for their commitment to carrying out their duties with efficiency and responsibility amid the hostile Iranian aggression against Bahrain.

In addition, HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of working together as part of Team Bahrain, reflecting co-operation and integration across the national workforce to address challenges, enhance efficiency and advance the kingdom’s goals and aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also met the editors-in-chief of local newspapers, during which he extended his thanks and appreciation to all those working in the kingdom’s Press sector for their dedicated efforts during the hostile Iranian aggression.
He highlighted the importance of continuing to develop the media sector further, while keeping pace with the rapid transformations taking place across the sector.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that these efforts contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Bahrain’s national media and strengthening its regional and international presence.
During the visit, HRH Prince Salman was briefed on the workflows at the ministry and the NCC, as well as the recent efforts across their departments.
He also met with several officials and personnel working at both the places, where he was briefed on the key media and communications efforts that had been implemented.
Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi expressed his pride, alongside all members of the media sector, in the recognition extended by HRH Prince Salman.
HRH Prince Salman was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and senior officials.
