Acting Director General of Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing Welfare Eng. Rashed Al-Enezi said Wednesday that Gulf integration and expertise exchange are key to developing the housing sector. Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the fourth Gulf Housing Week in Manama, he said Kuwait's delegation is headed by Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Eng. Abdulatif Al-Mishari.
Al-Enezi stressed the importance of strengthening Gulf integration, exchanging housing expertise and experiences, and developing policies and regulatory frameworks in line with economic, social and technological changes.
He said Kuwait's participation in Gulf Housing Week reflects its commitment to supporting joint Gulf housing efforts and enhancing cooperation and coordination among GCC states.
It also provides an opportunity to review the latest housing welfare practices and benefit from successful experiences, he added. Al-Enezi praised the Bahraini Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for organising the events, including the Innovation Conference 2026 on social housing, specialised sessions and an exhibition showcasing housing projects and experiences across GCC states.
Al-Enezi said he participated in a panel on resilience, integration, and innovative frameworks for shaping the future of national housing. He said the panel addressed developing housing systems across GCC states, discussed strengthening Gulf integration, as well as developing supportive policies and regulatory and legislative frameworks, and promoting a more efficient and sustainable housing sector.
He said the session also examined innovative partnership and financing models, as well as the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in planning, decision-making, and developing housing projects and policies. The Public Authority for Housing Welfare also participated in its designated exhibition pavilion, showcasing major projects, housing welfare experiences, and solutions and programs addressing housing needs.
