The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has announced the introduction of NBB POS as the new identity for NBB GO, its SoftPOS solution that enables merchants to accept card payments directly through compatible smart devices.
The refreshed identity aligns the solution more closely with NBB’s broader merchant acquiring proposition, providing greater consistency across the bank’s payment acceptance portfolio. The change reflects NBB’s commitment to simplifying its product suite and improving the way businesses access its merchant services.
Existing users will continue to benefit from the same secure, reliable and convenient SoftPOS capabilities they trust today, with no changes to application functionality or service experience.
Commenting on the announcement, NBB Group chief executive for markets and client solutions Husain Almohri said, “Bringing our SoftPOS solution under the NBB POS identity creates a clearer proposition while preserving the reliability and familiarity that merchants already value. It also reflects our broader ambition to equip businesses with simple, secure, and flexible tools that support everyday commerce and contribute to a more connected digital payments ecosystem in Bahrain.”
The rebranding forms part of NBB’s ongoing efforts to enhance its merchant acquiring services and support Bahrain’s increasingly digital economy. Through a comprehensive range of payment acceptance solutions, NBB continues to empower businesses with the flexibility, efficiency and reliability needed to succeed in today’s commerce environment.
