Al Salam Bank announced the launch of the second edition of its ‘Qaedat 2.0’ programme, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to empowering female talent and investing in their leadership and professional development.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s programme introduces an interactive experience under the theme ‘HER LEGACY – Honouring the Past. Shaping the Future.’
The initiative celebrates women’s contributions across generations, strengthens their leadership identity, and empowers them to create a positive and lasting impact in the workplace and wider community.
Inspired by the concept of honouring the past while shaping the future, ‘Qaedat 2.0’ features a series of interactive experiences designed to enhance self-awareness, identify personal strengths, and draw inspiration from women who have paved the way for future generations. The programme also focuses on developing influence, communication, negotiation, teamwork, prioritisation, and adaptability skills.
Participants will be encouraged to identify the leadership values and behaviours they aspire to embody and pass on to others.
Through an approach combining self-discovery, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative problem-solving, the programme aims to build participants’ confidence and strengthen their ability to make a meaningful professional impact.
Commenting on the occasion, Muna Al Balooshi, chief human resources officer at Al Salam Bank, said: “At Al Salam Bank, we believe that empowering women is a fundamental investment in the future of our organisation. Developing female leaders goes beyond strengthening professional skills to fostering confidence, influence, and the ability to inspire others. Building on the success of the first edition of ‘Qaedat’, we are pleased to introduce a more comprehensive and meaningful experience that focuses on the impact women create and the positive legacy they leave for future generations.
“Through ‘Qaedat 2.0’, we aim to provide an interactive environment that encourages participants to explore their potential, exchange experiences, and develop their leadership capabilities, while promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual support. This will further empower our female employees to contribute to the bank’s strategic objectives and future aspirations.”
The launch of the second edition follows the positive outcomes of the inaugural ‘Qaedat’ programme in 2023, which brought together more than 150 female employees over 12 weeks, delivering a total of 2,242 training hours.
The programme achieved a 96 per cent satisfaction rate and identified 24 participants who were ready to advance to the next stage of their professional journeys, demonstrating the initiative’s contribution to supporting female career development within the bank.
Through ‘Qaedat 2.0’, Al Salam Bank continues to invest in human capital, promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and nurture female talent for future leadership roles. The initiative reinforces the bank’s commitment to advancing Bahraini women and supporting their contribution to economic and social development, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
