Manama: Details on four new projects within the $2.5 billion Bahrain Bay development will be revealed during an event on Thursday, the company’s chief executive Gagan Suri has said.
“We are hosting the Bahrain Bay Business Forum 2016 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay to create opportunities to network and form new partnerships,” he told a Press conference yesterday.
The 10-year-old project will see a number of projects completed this year, he added.
According to him, the past year has been one of growth and expansion, with more than 86 per cent of plots sold, the infrastructure complete and projects of third party developers nearing completion.
The 47-storey United Tower, a twisting tower development from Investment House, is expected to open by the middle of the year and will include the five-star Wyndham Grand Manama Hotel.
Other major projects underway include Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Investment Company’s 15,000sqm Water Bay project, which includes three blocks of flats in 10-storey towers, and the twin-towered Wafra residential project.
A new Marriot hotel project is expected to start later this year, as well as AXA’s new regional headquarters and the 290,000sqm Bay City (the erstwhile Raffles City) development.
“The development has enjoyed strong public confidence bringing in a network of trusted partners and investors and several eminent market leaders becoming new partners,” said Mr Suri.
The forum’s guest list includes high level government dignitaries, top officials of Bahrain’s leading banks and financial institutions as well as investors and associates from the GCC region.
On the agenda for the evening will be an address by Bahrain Bay chairman Atif Abdulmalik and a presentation by Mr Suri.
Several prominent partners and associates will also address the audience.
