MANAMA: United Insurance Company (UIC) has announced the appointment of Maysa Al Kooheji as general manager.
According to a statement, Ms Al Kooheji has more than 12 years of rich and varied experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector. She started her career in Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) and occupied different positions in Globemed Bahrain.
She joined UIC in April 2017. She was holding the position of deputy general manager before her appointment as general manager.
Ms Al Kooheji holds a bachelor’s degree in financial accounting from Bahrain University.
She is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute from the UK and also holds a diploma in Life and Health Insurance from the US. She is also pursuing her education in Associate Risk Management (ARM) from the US.
Ms Al Kooheji also holds many professional specialised certificates and has attended many training courses.
UIC chairman Sameer Al Wazzan said, “The appointment of Ms Al Kooheji brings a wealth of youth experience and skills to the company’s management team, which is something the board of directors looks forward to in order to improve workflow and keep pace with modern technology and challenges. We wish her all the best and success in her new position.”
