BAHRAIN’S decision to allow fully-vaccinated and Covid-recovered people to be admitted for indoor dining, gyms, etc and also exempting the vaccinated folks from PCR tests when they arrive in Bahrain are quite proactive deeds indeed.
Letters published in the GDN during the past couple of months were seeking exactly these sensible steps (‘Immunity licence’ can revive economy, GDN, March 1; ‘Spare the vaccinated’, GDN, March 17).
I don’t wish to give myself a pat on the back as I believe these decisions would have emerged in any case from the enlightened authorities in Bahrain – whether letters appeared or not!
But GDN can take pride in the fact that readers’ views that you carry which appear to be ‘missives’ initially may turn out to be prophetic.
