SOMETIMES I seriously wonder if certain individuals really think about what they say.
Seagulls become old, infirm and then can’t fly. Nothing lives forever.
Food waste left in the streets is a recipe for disaster. Flies, bacteria, rats also birds are known carriers of viruses. Not to mention the fact that this food waste mess is sickening to look at.
With the onset of the hot weather, consider a small child in a buggy breathing in that muck as they pass it. How? In all honesty, when a coach full of tourists is being shown some place like Muharraq suq, when, please God, the Covid is over, can we feel proud of those piles of stinking health hazards?
Shall we all remember we are in 2021, not a dark age of ignorance re diseases and how they are spread. In fact, there are far too many pigeons that only spread disease. Birds, along with rats, carry fungi (which, no doubt, is on the food after a time). ALL spread virus.
Why are there so many pigeons? Please, could we have a cull? Before there is an outcry, will all the anti-pigeons cull people please think about Covid, the cost of this pandemic to the economies of the world, and loss of life, and, please, if you care about your friends and families ... be quiet on the subject.
