TWO men sentenced to five years in jail for attacking a truck driver have lodged objections against their convictions.
The Bahrainis, aged 30 and 35, assaulted their victim who filmed them stealing the vehicle’s battery.
The High Criminal Court last month found the defendants guilty of attempted theft and assault. However, they were at large and hence sentenced in absentia.
Police arrested the men earlier this month after which they lodged objections at the same court against their convictions.
The trial has been adjourned until Thursday for a ruling.
