AN all-women ensemble will present a traditional Korean music concert to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between South Korea and Bahrain.
The event, ‘Stay Strong’, is being organised by the Korean Embassy in co-operation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) on November 10 and 11, at the Cultural Hall of the National Museum at 8pm.
Precautionary measures announced by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19) will be strictly adhered to.
The concert will be presented by Dasrum – a musical group comprising eight female performers who are specialised in playing all kinds of music using the traditional Korean folk music instruments.
The group has held more than 500 performances, locally and internationally.
In the Bahrain event, Dasrum will play traditional Korean songs, K-pop songs and Bahraini songs, as a tribute to the long-standing relations between the two nations whilst also sending a message of healing and consolation for all of the people who have endured the trying times of the pandemic.
The concerts are free but only open to fully-vaccinated people with the green shield on the BeAware app.
