Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the decades-long performances of Muharraq Club, the oldest sports club in Bahrain.
Shaikh Khalid was speaking as he received yesterday in his office at Al Wadi Palace the club’s chairman, Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, and members.
Shaikh Khalid, who was briefed about the club’s future plans, noted the importance of continuing the development efforts to further improve the club’s competitiveness.
The meeting was attended by GSA deputy chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Askar.
