HIS Majesty King Hamad met in Abu Dhabi yesterday UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as part of his fraternal visit to the UAE.
The King and Shaikh Mohammed held talks on the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples, wishing bilateral ties further progress.
The two leaders reviewed areas of bilateral co-ordination, as well as ways to diversify and broaden joint action across various fields, which would consolidate the two countries’ sustainable development efforts, meet their peoples’ aspirations and achieve their common interests, based on the two countries’ robust long-standing ties, and their belief in their common destiny.
His Majesty and the UAE leader expressed their pride in the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries, as well as in the advanced level reached by their wide-ranging co-operation.
King Hamad lauded the effective pivotal role played by the UAE, under the leadership of Shaikh Mohammed, at the regional and international levels, citing its tireless efforts to strengthen the pillars of regional and global security and stability, promote peace and launch global initiatives to foster the humanitarian values of coexistence, tolerance and co-operation among peoples.
His Majesty and the UAE President also discussed a number of GCC and Arab issues, in addition to the latest regional and global developments.
They also exchanged points of view vis-à-vis matters of mutual concern.
