Bahrain has been elected vice-president of the Trade and Development Board of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) for a one-year term.
Bahrain was represented by Maryam Abdulaziz Al Doseri, Commercial Attache of the kingdom in Geneva.
The election reflects Bahrain’s growing role in international economic diplomacy and its active contribution to the multilateral system.
As vice-president, Bahrain will serve on the board’s bureau and contribute to its work and deliberations on key issues related to trade, investment, finance and development.
The election further underscores Bahrain’s commitment to multilateral co-operation and international efforts to advance inclusive and sustainable development.
