His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received cables of congratulations from Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, on International Day of Democracy, celebrated this year under the theme ‘Empowering the Next Generation’.
Mr Al Musallam highlighted the importance of Bahrain’s legislative authority’s achievements within the framework of the comprehensive development process led by the King. He also noted that the National Action Charter launched a new era of political development in the kingdom.
Mr Al Saleh expressed his pride in Bahrain’s achievements, led by His Majesty’s support and patronage of the legislative authority since the launch of the comprehensive development process. He affirmed that these achievements contributed to a qualitative leap in the development process and sustainable democratic reform, strengthening the state of law and institutions, as well as the advancement of parliamentary life and political participation, thereby improving Bahrain’s economic development, stability and prosperity.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received similar cables of congratulations from the Parliament Speaker and the Shura Chairman. Mr Al Musallam highlighted the role of the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in the legislative authority’s success in implementing projects and initiatives at all levels. Mr Al Saleh expressed his pride in Bahrain’s achievements, supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
