The American, who had led the field with a seven-under-par 65 on the first day, had slipped to second place with an eight-under-par 136 gross following a one-under-par 71 on Friday, behind Gary King, who started yesterday leading Madey by just one stroke with a nine-under-par 135 gross after carding a four-under-par 68 on Friday to go with his five-under-par 67 on the first day.
But the Briton had a poor day yesterday, stroking a one-over-par 73 to finish the tournament in third place with an eight-under-par 208 gross, behind compatriot Tom Plumb, who carded a three-under-par 69 for the third day in succession to tally a nine-under-par 207 gross.

And defending champion, Tom Sloman, of Great Britain, who appeared out of sorts on the first two days after identical cards of one-under-par 71, provided a glimpse of what could have been by shooting a four-under-par 68 to finish fifth with a six-under-par 210 gross, as did joint-fifth-placed compatriot Joshua White, who recovered from a two-over-par 74 on the first day to post a five-under-par 67 and three-under-par 69 on the last two days of the tournament.
Two more Brits, Robbie Busher and Russell Chrystie finished joint-seventh with a four-under-par 212 gross.

Amateur Ahmed Al Zayed finished as the best Bahraini golfer with a three-over-par 219 gross.
