A BAHRAINI surgeon has been awarded the gold medal for excellence in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after topping the UK and Ireland fellowship examination called the FRCS (Plast), the equivalent of board certification in Plastic Surgery.Dr Ayman Tariq Saeed received the honour after finishing first place in the prestigious FRCS (Plast) exam, which determines whether surgeons have the necessary knowledge and skills required to practise independently as a Consultant .
