A spectacular musical evening featuring popular Malayalam songs will be held today as part of Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam’s (BKS) Onam celebrations.
Disha Prakash, Merin Gregory and Gokul Gopakumar, who rose to prominence through the Asianet Star Singer programme, will perform at BKS, Segaya, from 7.30pm.
The event is being held as part of the ‘Sraavanam 2026’ Onam celebrations and will feature a delightful selection of melodies cherished by audiences across generations.
Legendary playback singer K S Chithra will headline another concert tomorrow starting at 6.30pm at the BKS Diamond Hall. Ms Chithra, whose melodious voice and timeless songs have captivated music lovers for decades, will be joined by prominent singers Nishad, Anamika and Arjun.
Renowned for her exceptional vocal talent and remarkable contribution to Indian music, Ms Chithra has earned a special place in the hearts of music lovers across generations. The event will be attended by distinguished guests, including Indian Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Rajiv Kumar Mishra and Kerala Member of Legislative Assembly from Kovalam M Vincent.
The organising committee for the festivities is led by BKS president P V Radhakrishna Pillai, general secretary Varghese Karakkal and Sraavanam general convener Harikrishnan Nair.
Admission to all Sraavanam 2026 events is free.
