A jewellery set worth BD150,000 was recovered after being reported lost during the ongoing Jewellery Arabia exhibition.
The Southern Police acted swiftly after receiving the report and recovered the set within just two hours, the Interior Ministry announced in a statement.
Police launched search operations and reviewed camera recordings immediately after the complaint was filed.
It was found that one of the workers at the event mistakenly threw it out with the trash, the ministry said.
The set has been returned to the jewellery store and legal procedures have been taken.
The 32nd edition of Jewellery Arabia and Scent Arabia is taking place at Exhibition World Bahrain.
