Bahrain's women’s national cricket team arrived in Doha yesterday to participate in a much-anticipated bilateral cricket series.
The team received a warm and celebratory welcome from the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), in a ceremony marked by a delightful cake-cutting.
The series, which includes five T20 Internationals (T20I) to be played at the renowned West End Park International Cricket Stadium, promises to be a competitive and thrilling event.
This engagement not only highlights the growing stature of women’s cricket in the region but also underscores the strong and brotherly ties between Bahrain and Qatar.
Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) chairman Mohammad Mansoor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the QCA for their hospitality and for hosting this significant series. He emphasised that such events are a testament to the camaraderie and cooperation between the two nations.

BCF general secretary Kishore Kewalram shared his enthusiasm about the series. He believes that this will be a valuable opportunity for the Bahrain women’s national team to familiarise themselves with playing on turf wickets and gain crucial international experience.
“This series is a fantastic chance for our players to hone their skills and showcase their talent on a bigger stage,” Kewalram remarked.
