Young Indian talents who triumphed in an annual competition were honoured at a grand ceremony recently.
The 25th edition of the Indian Talent Scan 2025, organised by Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) in collaboration with BFC (Bahrain Financing Company), concluded on a high note after a two-month-long programme that started on October 18.
More than 10 schools across Bahrain took part, with nearly 100 team entries in both junior and senior divisions.
Participants were grouped into five age categories, competing in more than 180 events across a wide range of disciplines including dance, music, arts and crafts, literature, and various categories.
A total of 800 trophies and certificates were awarded to deserving participants during the grand finale held at the KCA VKL Auditorium, Segaiya.
Acclaimed cine artist Vincy Aloshious presented awards to the winners, while the chief guest was Indian Embassy’s Second Secretary Nivetha S.

The vibrant cultural programme began with an address by KCA general secretary Vinu Christy followed by the association’s president James John.
Talent Scan chairperson Simi Leo said the annual event showcased Indian art, culture, and literature, brought to life by more than 1,200 children of Indian origin in Bahrain.

Two educators were also honoured at the event. Prasanth K received the Distinguished Dance Teacher Award and Vijitha Sreejith was presented with the Distinguished Music Educator Award. These special recognitions acknowledged the unwavering dedication and contributions of teachers in shaping young talent.
School awards were presented to The Indian School and The Asian School. They were based on both the number of participants and the total rank/grade points accumulated by each school in the competitions.
“With its high standards and enthusiastic participation, KCA-BFC The Indian Talent Scan has truly become the premier talent competition for Indian children in Bahrain,” said Mr John.
The evening concluded with the unveiling of the cover page of the event souvenir, Crescendo, by Nivetha S, adding a memorable and celebratory touch to the milestone event.
