Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met UK’s Chancellor of Exchequer Rachel Reeves on the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, held in the US.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to the US Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Khalid Humaidan were present.
The meeting reviewed latest regional and global economic developments. Shaikh Salman highlighted the historical ties between Bahrain and the UK, noting their continued development across various domains, particularly in the financial and economic sectors.
He also noted Bahrain’s commitment to continuing to support co-operation between the two countries under their strategic partnership, helping to achieve shared goals.
