Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Ground Handling Partnership programme (GHP) for 2026.
The move underscores the company’s commitment to global operational standards, safety, and reliability at Bahrain International Airport. The GHP initiative is designed to drive standardisation and strengthen collaboration between airlines and ground handling providers.
“We are proud to join the 2026 programme at a time of rapid evolution in the aviation sector,” said BAS chief commercial officer Zaeem Gama. “This reflects our dedication to international standards and our drive to adopt best practices that enhance service delivery.”
Mr Gama added that despite the current regional context, the company remains focused on operational excellence and agility.
“This commitment supports national efforts to advance the civil aviation sector and aligns with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the National Aviation Strategy 2026–2027,” he said.
By joining the programme, BAS aims to further its collaboration with global stakeholders and reinforce its position as a trusted partner for airlines operating in the kingdom.
