Prominent artist Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated his participation in Italy’s renowned 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia with the unveiling of his monumental installation, Guarding the Passage, to an audience of leading art critics, cultural figures and international media representatives.
The installation’s vivid red hue symbolises sovereignty, resilience and Bahrain’s national identity, while its open-mesh structure evokes values of freedom, openness and cross-cultural dialogue.
