A Kuwaiti man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing the death of a grocery store worker during a payment dispute.
The incident began when the defendant attempted to flee a shop in the Al Muthlaa area without paying for his purchases, worth KD2, the court heard.
As he tried to drive away, a store employee attempted to stop him and was dragged for nearly 30 metres, sustaining fatal injuries.
Court records revealed the accused had prior convictions for theft and drug-related offences.
