Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa issued a decision approving government documents available through MyGov application as valid proof of the accuracy of the data contained in those documents throughout their period of validity.
The decision was issued following a review of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Law, and the regulation of the technical requirements for the transmission, delivery and updating of electronic records and signatures for public entities.
It was issued in co-ordination with the relevant authorities, based on a proposal submitted by the Information and eGovernment Authority chief executive officer.
Article one of the decision stipulates that, without prejudice to the applicable laws and regulations, government documents available through the electronic MyGov application shall be officially recognised as proof of the accuracy.
