The Royal speeches and directives embody national principles and Islamic values that promote loyalty, belonging and community partnership, while emphasising Bahrain’s commitment to peace and coexistence, Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has said.
The minister, who is also Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) board of trustees chairman, and committee chairman, headed the first meeting of the National Resilience Documentation Committee at Derasat’s headquarters in Awali, in the presence of committee members.
The members expressed their appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad for issuing Order (20) of 2026 establishing the National Resilience Documentation Committee to monitor and document the Iranian attacks faced by Bahrain.
The committee underscored its commitment to achieving its objectives by consolidating the national narrative and documenting various aspects of resilience, defence, institutional and societal solidarity under the leadership of the King and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla noted that, under the vision of the King, Bahrain maintained its security and safeguarded its sovereignty in the face of Iranian attacks that disregarded international conventions, international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.
He also highlighted the solidarity demonstrated by Bahrainis in support of the kingdom’s leadership and commended the efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Interior Ministry and other security agencies in confronting the Iranian attacks and protecting the kingdom’s security, stability, sovereignty and national achievements.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for implementing the committee’s mandate, which focuses on monitoring and documenting the Iranian attacks faced by Bahrain.
It also reviewed the general framework for the National Resilience documentation project and approved the executive plan and standards governing the collection, documentation, classification and preservation of material, as well as determining material that may be published and circulated in accordance with the provisions of the State Information and Documents Protection Law, ahead of approving the final outputs.
