Bahraini companies and manufacturers will showcase their capabilities on a regional stage as the kingdom prepares to host the inaugural ‘Made in GCC 2026’ Forum and Exhibition from October 6 to 8 at Exhibition World Bahrain, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
Local firms across key sectors – including aluminium, energy, engineering, food production, and textiles – will join senior GCC officials, CEOs, and investors to drive industrial integration and forge new economic partnerships.
Endorsed by regional leaders at the Gulf Summit in December 2025, the landmark event builds on frameworks like the Customs Union and the GCC Common Market to support a unified Gulf product brand.
Manufacturing remains a central driver of Bahrain’s economic diversification, standing as the second-largest GDP contributor at 15.1 per cent in 2025 after growing 3.7pc annually within non-oil activities.
Across the broader region, the sector accounted for 13.13pc of combined GCC GDP last year.
“We are proud of the participation of a distinguished group of Bahraini companies in the inaugural edition, reflecting the breadth of national capabilities,” said Dr Khalid Al Alawi, assistant under-secretary for industrial development at the Industry and Commerce Ministry.
“Gulf industrial integration represents a shared vision for building a more competitive industrial base with greater access to global markets.”
The three-day event will feature strategic dialogue, B2B networking, and an exhibition showcasing industrial innovations, and supply chain logistics.
