Two women are set to face trial for human trafficking after allegedly coercing an expat to work illicitly.
The duo, identified only as Asian, is accused of bringing the victim to Bahrain, then taking away her passport and exploiting her to do ‘illegal work’.
The victim had lodged a complaint with the police, and testified about the mistreatment she had allegedly suffered.
The trial will begin on July 20.
