His Majesty extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to King Felipe on the occasion.
The King praised the outstanding performance displayed by the Spanish national team throughout the tournament, which culminated in its well-deserved title victory.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a similar cable to the Spanish king.
He also sent similar cables to Princess of Asturias Leonor de Borbón y Ortiz and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
